  • If possible, take extra glasses, contact lenses, dentures, etc.
     
  • Carry a brief medical history with you at all times, including insurance company name, social security number, allergies, blood type, medications, emergency contact information.
     
  • Bring a small First Aid Kit that contains aspirin or aspirin substitutes, vitamins, cold tablets, stomach remedies, bandage strips, and prescription medication(s).
     
  • For diabetics, carry snacks and medications in case of meal changes or delays (consult with your physician before leaving).
     
  • Bring one major credit card and your driver's license for photo identification.
     
  • Check the local weather reports for your destination and wear layers so you can add or remove clothing as the weather changes.
     
  • Pack only half as much as you think you'll need
      

     
  • DO NOT pack money, jewelry, and prescription drugs-carry them with you
     
  • Empty tote bags are helpful for souvenirs you purchase on the trip
     
  • Don't forget to pack your camera, film, and batteries.
